"It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter." ~ Alfred Eisenstaedt
When shooting portraits, I like to take my time. Alfred Eisenstaedt formulated it really well. Ultimaly it's all about the connection and trust between people. It's my job to make you feel at ease. Don't DO anything, but rather just be you.
Portrait shoots will take place mostly during weekdays depending on my wedding schedule. I love to shoot portraits at the homes of the people I portray. It makes them feel so much more at ease. We can drink some coffee, put on a record and just enjoy. Shoot me an email and we'll check our schedules to work something out.
Definitely not. Having experience in modelling is fun, but everyone can be themselves. No need for acting or posing. Just be you.
Something that makes you feel comfortable at first. Secondly, of course there are things that work better than others aesthetically. Use a simply color palette and no screamy prints. I like earthly tones at lot and they work well with my type of work. If you have more questions about this, we can always talk it through on email. Sometimes it just works to bring two sets of clothing so we can try things out during the shoot.
Typically it's not really about where we are going to shoot. I love shooting at your home. Trust me, it's lovely! You will feel so much more at ease and I know we will find a great spot to shoot. Of course we can go somewhere else as well. Shoot me an email and we'll talk it through.
When shooting a 1 to 2 hour portrait session I typically deliver around 25 to 50 images.
Yes, all images delivered are edited for color and exposure to match what you can see on this website.
I deliver all images through a digital gallery where they can be downloaded as full resolution JPG files.
Make sure you are relaxed and able to enjoy our time together. Take the day off, read a book, drink some tea or coffee, go out for a walk. When you are in that state of mind, everything will be so much more fun. And that is eventually what a shoot should be like. Fun.
